The Power Electronics and Control Systems (PECS) is a multidisciplinary research group of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, formed by staff of the Deparments of

  • Electrical Engineering,
  • Electronic Engineering,
  • Electronic System Design and Programming,
  • Signal Theory and Communications.


Research and Education

The group carries out research and education within the broad fields of energy processing, power electronics and control systems, covering a wide range of applications in

energy efficient systems,
distributed generation of electrical energy,
renewable energy systems (wind, photovoltaic),
transmission and distribution of electrical energy (microgrid, FACTS, active filtering).

The group also teaches in the Doctorate Program of the Department of Electronic Engineering.
